modeano is the motion graphics moniker of lens-based artist Mike Chick.

I create 2D motion graphics, kinetic typography, and some 3D animations, with a focus on concept and dynamics. 

My first independent commissions were in film and video, with directing credits in TV documentary, music promo and commercial work for clients including Channel 4 Television, EMI, and Koch Media. The short film "Bike Story" was shown at the Cycling Film festival 2013 in New York and London.

After many years living in London and Berlin, I am now based in Brighton, England.
